What Is a Breast Lift?
A breast lift, also known as a mastoplexy, is a surgical procedure that can improve the shape and appearance of the breasts. This procedure doesn’t increase the size of the breasts. It is a safe and time-tested medical procedure to revitalize the youthful appearance of the breasts by making the breasts more symmetrical, perkier, and shapely. Our technique keeps the nipple always attached so nerves are intact and you will even breast feed afterwards.

The Benefits of a Breast Lift
- A breast lift can re-shape the breasts you have to make them more proportional to the rest of your body.
- A breast lift can remove sagging and loose breasts tissue
- A breast lift can make uneven breasts look more symmetrical and firmer.
Is a Breast Lift right for Me?
In general, this procedure is perfect for women with drooping and saggy breasts. This can be the results of a variety of factors like genetics and aging. Women that have gained and lost a lot of weight can also benefit from a breast lift. The extra skin from weight changes can be difficult to get rid of, making breast lifts a perfect way to re-shape your breasts to your new body.
Your Breast Lift Consultation
Be prepared to provide your complete medical history during a breast lift consultation with Dr. Lesesne. This should include any past surgical operations, medical conditions, and drugs or supplements being taken. Be ready for a physical examination of your breast size and dimensions, as well as the quality of your skin and positions of your areolae.
Prior to your breast lift surgery, measurements and images of your breasts will be taken to support your personal medical records. Dr. Lesesne will discuss any potential complications that may arise as a result of surgery, along with the details of the procedure and the recovery process.
You will have the opportunity to ask questions during this appointment. Dr. Lesesne will recommend the surgical method that is ideal for you based on this consultation.
What Happens During A Breast Lift?
A breast lift is typically performed under IV sedation so it is safer but you are unaware. The surgery takes no more than 3 hours. This is usually done in our accredited private operating suite.
First, an incision is made along the areola. A vertical line is made, and then loose extra tissue is removed safely and painlessly through precise surgical excision. Once the extra skin is removed, then the nipples need to be re-positioned to a higher level to suit the new shape of the breasts.
Recovering from a Breast Lift
The immediate recovery is 2 – 3 days then most people will need to wear a sports bra for a few weeks. There might be a lingering tightness and swelling in the chest area along with some tenderness. These should vanish soon enough as long as proper recovery procedures are followed.
Light exercise and sleeping on the back and sides are recommended. Heavy strenuous exercise is discouraged for around 4 weeks.
The body will eventually heal, and most people can resume their normal lifestyles within 1-2 months and return to vigorous exercise once healing is complete. The sutures are dissolvable. You can fly in 2 days, shower the day after the procedure.
Mastopexy Results
The contours of your breasts will change and settle over the next few months, but you will notice an immediate difference in their appearance after the breast lift procedure. Post-surgical marks will soften and fade in time. Bras and swimming attires may generally hide post-surgical marks after a breast lift.
The outcome of a breast lift may not last indefinitely. Sagging may still occur as your skin becomes less elastic with age, especially if you have larger, heavier breasts. Maintaining a healthy and steady weight will help preserve results.
How Much Does a Breast Lift Cost?
Health insurance plans do not cover breast lift surgery, since it is considered a cosmetic procedure. Factors such as the anesthesia fee, price of surgical facility, medical examinations, post-surgery garments, medications, and surgeon’s fee are included in the overall cost.
